Company standards when creating or updating Notion pages:
- Keep It Simple!!!! Plain text and images are usually the right answer. Avoid tables, sub-pages, complex intents, toggles when not needed, etc.
- Nested pages are 99% of the time wrong/bad. It's just more clicks to get to what you want. Almost every page on Notion should take you directly to information you can use. The "Email Templates" is the only exception I know of where it makes sense.
- Practice "Notion Page Conservation". Only create a new page if there is a very compelling need to. Ideally, info should be added to an appropriate existing page. Otherwise Notion will become too sprawling and fragmented to be useful to anyone.
- Loom videos should be embedded on the appropriate work procedure pages.
- Avoid acronym usage whenever possible.
- Screenshots and Loom videos are wonderful tools for work instructions.
- If you see something wrong - Fix It Now!!! [Do it in realtime - company value]
- Write as if the person reading has very little experience with the thing you are trying to explain or document.
